If you plan to travel to Langkawi from Europe you should book your flight to Kuala Lumpur and then take AirAsias flights from KL to Langkawi.
A direct flight or booked through your agency costs ca 2000 SEK (€220) extra. If you instead look at flights through Skyscanner
you can easilly ”add up” the last flight to Langkawi for €15 instead on AirAsias flights.
Yes on the cheaper flights you will pay extra for the luggage and if you want food but it will most likely not reach the hurrendous sum of €200 anyway!

Normally when arriving from Europe to Kuala Lumpur you will arrive on KLIA and then you take the train (3 minutes) to KLIA2 for the price of RM 2 (€ 0,5)
KLIA2 is the new terminal that was built to make this possible. Before the two airports where way apart but now after ”Terminal 2″ is in operation (since july 2014) this is so much easier. There is plenty of shopping and eating opportunities on Terminal 2 so if you have an hour or two to spend that time will pass very quick! Also there is one hour free wifi on Terminal 2. Remember that the whole of Langkawi is a TaxFree zone and many things to buy at Terminal 2 is not really cheaper than in every store in Langkawi.
Note that you will have to clear immigration, customs and collect your luggage before going to Terminal 2.
The same applies if you want to travel directly to Penang, Perhentian Islands or any other destination in Malaysia Peninsula.
Of course if you want to travel even cheaper there is always the bus or the train to Langkawi.
