There is a night market in Langkawi every day. Locations varies every day and the markets are a bit different on each location. Mainly cheap and delicious food is for sale at the night market (Pasar Malam)
- Mondays it is in Ulu Melaka
- Tuesdays in Kedawang
- Wednesdays in Kuah
- Thursdays in Pentai Cenang
- Fridays in Ayer Hangat
- Saturdays in Kuah
- And sundays in Padang Matsirat
At the night market you are able to buy food really cheap. Usually it is also delicious. The markets are a bit different from one another and, of course, the largest is the one in Kuah.
This is a great way to try out the local food without it costing too much. You will be able to buy some clothes and other stuff here as well but the main item for sale here is food.
Many locals will visit the night markets and if you are having a hard time finding the market just follow the stream of cars or ask for the Pasar Malam.
My favourites at the night market is Sate (chicken on a stick with peanut sauce), fresh vegetables, corn in a cup (with the cocos) and the freshly baked small cakes with kaya. At the market in Kedawang there is a stall who sells grilled lamb that is absolutely delicious.
Most of the markets starts at 5pm and usually ends around 10pm.

- 38I found a new gem in Pentai Cenang when it comes to good and cheap food! Me and Rebecca was heading for the beach but got hungry on the way... So we decided to try out a new place (for me anyway) it´s called Belinas Corner and it is right…
